Hoh Wotanite, Princess Cocoa and Vale de Lobo look the main contenders here in an intriguing handicap, and Princess Cocoa is taken to land her second win in three starts. A Chepstow handicap winner in May, Vale de Lobo has not won since but shaped well last time at Newmarket, finishing a close second. She was thought good enough to take her chance in a Listed contest recently but perhaps would prefer further than ten furlongs on this sharp track. After winning a little race here in July, Hoh Wotanite then failed to score in his next eight starts, but dropped down the handicap as a consequence. He took full advantage, winning his next two contests over this course and distance. He has now gone back up the weights and may find he is anchored into a place. Princess Cocoa won over the course and distance two outings ago and ran well in defeat over a slightly longer trip at Doncaster last time, where she travelled well before fading in the final furlong. Only three pounds higher than when winning here, Princess Cocoa can warm her supporters as the cold sets in.
