Although Tally is chasing a hat-trick, he was a lucky winner at Lingfield, where his jockey rode the others to sleep. Having crawled in front he quickened up turning for home and caught all the rest flat-footed. Off a 3lbs higher mark here, he looks one to oppose. Indian Maiden's win here has been given a boost since by the runner-up Effective, who went on to land the odds here last week. She looks a progressive filly and is one to keep an eye on. The consistent Star Lad should again go well, and must have every chance with Blonde En Blonde on these revised terms. But Nick Littmoden still has his team in good order and Blonde En Blonde is taken to add to her already impressive tally.
