    Verdict

An ultra competitive event in which several runners hold claims including Squeaky, Most-Saucy and Beechy Bank but the vote goes to Sienna Sunset. Heather Dalton's four-year-old comes here on the back of a respectable second in similar company at Folkestone last week and, off a 1lb lower mark than when second to Bitter Sweet, she has solid claims in a moderate contest. Top weight Tight Squeeze is capable of taking a hand on her best form but looks a shade high in the handicap at present and a bigger danger may be Beechy Bank, who belied odds of 200/1 when winning at Warwick last term and showed that was no fluke when a close fourth on unsuitably soft ground at Chepstow on her reappearance. Karen George's Squeaky is a consistent performer who ran well over course and distance last time and has to be respected along with Ian Wood's Most-Saucy, who is entitled to be thereabouts on the pick of her form. Figura and Aphra Benn are others worthy of a mention but, in what is a trappy contest, the vote goes to Sienna Sunset.
