Bahlino is not badly treated and can make the most of the weight that he receives from Celtic truth, with Clever Clogs not out of it entirely. Bahlino was in good form in the summer, gaining wins at Redcar and Beverley, and has run well in defeat subsequently. His latest effort when fourth at Epsom was his first outing since July and he may have been let in lightly in receipt of nearly a stone from Celtic Truth who could not handle a six pound rise when beaten at Haydock. The faster ground and longer trip should help Roger Charlton's topweight though. Clever Clogs lined up in a Listed race at Newmarket on the back of a Pontefract maiden victory under Kieren Fallon, but was outclassed and will be more at home in this company. Even so, she will do well under 9st 7lb, and Bahlino, who will set off fresh, is preferred.
