A bit of guesswork involving horses such as Selsey, Plum Asset and Welsh Opera, however a safer option may be Oat Cusine ahead of Shanzu. The latter would be very interesing if the rain comes as she is bred to want cut and showed with a recent reappearance that she has trained on from two to three. However Oat Cusine had been threatening to win for a while before tasting success at Newmarket two starts back. She then ran with credit at HQ in a fair contest, and with her decent 7lb claimer taking weight off her back, she can certainly be competitive today. Support Fund is consistent, but pays with the handicapper as a result, and the same applies to Onenightinlisbon and Cape Velvet, so a bigger danger may be Shelsey. Sir Michael Stoute's filly is not overburdened on a mark of 69 if she fulfils her potential, however on what we have seen to date she has a bit to prove although her trainer is a master at improving horses as they get older. Welsh Opera was well-fancied on her final start last season, and she needs respect, although she may be another who would prefer a drop of rain. Plum Asset is another who warrants close inspection having had three qualifying runs, however it is Oat Cusine who can get back to winning ways.
