Another tricky race for punters with very little between many of the leading fancies but the principals look to be Kavachi, Bon Viveur, Girardii and Meantime and the tentative vote is given to Kavachi. The selection finished in mid-division in a better race behind Princess Cocoa last time out and with the drop in grade and step-up in trip in his favour he looks the value bet. Bon Viveur rates the main danger on his latest third behind Babcary, especially if the fitting of a first-time visor brings about some improvement. Girardii was a fair second behind Gower Song last time and is another with place claims but a rise in the handicap may just find him out. Meantime has dropped to a handy mark and could go well at a price if he stays this longer trip. Of the remainder, Pip's Baby is from a yard in form but he may just need the run after a 240-day absence and with this in mind for the winner we return to Kavachi.
