In the finale, Bachnagairn is selected ahead of Cushat Law and Jafaru. Bachnagairn has knocked at the door in his second- and third-last runs, both at Bath and, although they came on good to firm, he has the right to punter consideration tonight on going that could suit and with first-time blinkers to help sharpen him up. Jafaru has hit some form and holds claims based on his latest Goodwood effort, while Cushat Law is another to have put up an improved effort last time and is entitled to build on that. As with three-year-old handicaps of this type, there are plenty of potential improvers in the line-up, including Haarth Sovereign, who can be given a shout based on his Eradicate form, and Pagan Rules, who showed improved form when second to Copernican last time. For the selection, though, we will stick with Bachnagairn.
