The short list in an interesting maiden consists of Cape Cobra, Castara Bay and Urban Spirit, with the selection being Cape Cobra. A good second to Pagan Belief at Salisbury last time, Cape Cobra, who should appreciate the step up in trip today, holds every chance, we feel, in this contest. Castara Bay's Goodwood mile run last time rates in the high-70s, which is more than good enough to give him a good shout, while Sir Michael Stoute has won this twice in the last five years and he saddles Garden Party, who is certainly open to improvement, as is Luca Cumani's Candyman. Just Two Numbers has shown some promise, while Know The Law was beaten a whisker at Beverley last time and is another to consider. La Lunette is an interesting newcomer, while Limbo King has shown promise in fair maidens on soft going and has also to be given some thought. Michael Jarvis's Own Boss, whose dam won the 1,000 Guineas, is another one of interest, and Polish Prize and Urban Spirit are others to be given thought to, particularly the latter, whose maiden form is sold. Once again, though, we will give the vote to Cape Cobra.
