Verdict

Very competitive this, with Like For Like selected to get the better of Turn To Dreams and Missus Christie. None though should be immediately discounted, and it's worth having a market check on the one newcomer, Itshim. Like For Like was ahead of August Days when winning over this trip last time out. That was despite meeting trouble in running. A 5 pound weight advantage may give hope of reversing that, although Ron Hodges' filly had been regularly knocking on the door before that success at Bath, when there was a bit of cut in the ground. Turn To Dreams showed a modicum of form in being 4th at Chepstow. Missus Christie is the other entrant to have won over this distance, aside from our selection. That was on debut when coming from off the pace at Haydock. Don't expect her to be setting the pace this time either. It won't take a great deal of winning, but we expect Like For Like to be first home.
