Nine Below Zero won at Bath before placing in this grade on the all-weather and can figure. He’s preferred to Newbury runner-up Madame Bounty, who drops back down in trip. OPEN WIDE never figured in much better company at Ascot last time but had placed at this level at Sandown before that and won under Jim Crowley at Salisbury earlier. He gets the vote in this with both Equimou and Quench Dolly struggling for form though the latter drops in class today.
