The leading players have all been performing sufficiently well to suggest a maiden hurdle is within their capabilities. Local trainer James Moffatt has booked Aidan Coleman for The Steward, placed in all four starts, the last twice at this venue. He should prove competitive once again but LUCCA LADY (NAP) has produced a highly consistent sequence since joining Katy Price and latest efforts in decent handicaps appeal as the best form on offer. Richard Johnson is an eye-catching booking too. Beach Break cannot be ruled out on the back of three successive runner-up efforts and rates strong shortlist material for Hughes and McCain.
