Nonrunner

In depth

Verdict

Richard Hannon's filly Politeia is the pick here, ahead of La Troupe and Danamanight. She was staying on well when narrowly beaten here over a mile earlier in the month, in her season re-appearance, and can break her maiden at the 5th time of asking. La Troupe is making her handicap debut, and steps back in trip from the 10 furlongs she last ran on, and doing well until the business end, so the shorter distance is expected to suit. Danamanight has only one place to her name so far, but is well in at the weights; she'd have at least made the frame in a similar contest here last month but for dwelling at the start, so as long as she makes the break, must be worthy of consideration. But the selection is Politeia for the Hannon Moore combination.
