A tight and tricky handicap in which Fleetwood Bay is given as a tentative selection. The selection is three pounds better off for the three-quarters-of-a-length that he was beaten by Malapropism at Bath last month, and it should be close between them in this race. Mine Behind sprang a 50/1 surprise at Newbury last time and the handicapper must have had a difficult time assessing him. Ben Lomand is five pounds higher now than for his Brighton win and may find one or two too good for him today. Touch Of Gold is very interesting. Formerly with Willie Muir, she steps back to six furlongs for her debut for Richard Hannon, and it could produce dividends. On her dam's, she has plenty of speed, her pedigree including such names as Dayjur and Habibti. The booking of Pat Eddery is also a positive. Richard Hannon also runs Scythian, another well-bred runner, and although seven furlongs might suit this one best, he can't be completely ruled out of calculations. Semenovskii has been raised six pounds for an emphatic win in a modest Catterick contest when with David Nicholls. A little more will be required now for Paul D'Arcy. Zak Facta's third to Ground Zero last time was a best yet, as was Captain Cloudy's third here in May over five furlongs on soft going. Neither can be ruled out of the equation. Roman Quintet is now three pounds better off for the two-and-three-quarter lengths that Malapropism beat him at Sandown over five furlongs earlier in the month. It should again be close between them too. As indicated, it's tricky but Fleetwood Bay could be the one.
