Verdict
They don't come much weaker than this and it is a poor race to open the card with at Musselburgh. Therefore, the lack of quality could enable Lady Ern to make the long journey from Dorset worthwhile for her connections. She is selected over Queens Square, who make be better on easier ground, and Branston Melody, who has failed to deliver after an encouraging effort over the course and distance on her second start. Lady Ern is a half-sister to the useful sprinter Justalord and has shown that she has inherited plenty of early speed from her dam's side. She will not find an easier opportunity than this to get home.
