    Verdict

There seems to be little point in opposing Profiteer, and he should live up to his name at the main expense of Minirina, with Dave Best making the most appeal of a poor bunch for the final each way place. The David Loder-trained Profiteer missed the whole of last season through a niggling injury and didn't look to be the most straightforward of characters on his reappearance at Doncaster earlier in the month. However, it is worth remembering that he was only beaten by just over two lengths in the Mill Reef Stakes as a juvenile and he is impossible to oppose at this level; despite his reluctance to go past an inferior rival on Town Moor.
