Petrosian is the pick over Greyt Big Stuff, Sweetheart and Global Traffic in an open handicap. Petrosian came good at the sixth time of asking when upped in trip at Southwell a month ago, after which trainer Mark Johnston revealed that the gelding would be fitted with blinkers next time. True to his word, the Middleham handler has done just that with the three-year-old who looked far from straightforward last time. He is on the upgrade though, and off his current mark is taken to follow up and gain his first win on Turf. Greyt Big Stuff was a beaten favourite at Southwell in November, and is not certain to stay today's trip on breeding, but does have consistent form over shorter. Sweetheart makes her handicap bow after scraping home at Wolverhampton on her latest outing, and is another stepping into unchartered territory, while Global Traffic has gone off the boil of late but hails from a stable in form. Petrosian gets a moderate vote.
