This maiden can go to Gold Prospect at the expense of Mystic Dancer, Shavansky and Tranquil Tiger to name but a few. Gold Prospect is on a retrieval mission here, having been sent off as favourite on his Leicester debut 11-days ago. He was the big word on the track that day, but let his supporters down after getting into a pocket and having to be switched wide to make his run, in the end finishing fourth. Hopefully, Jamie Spencer will steer a better course on the Derby entry this time, and compensation awaits. Mystic Dancer is a full brother to Medicean, and will certainly benefit from this step up in trip after being caught cold by the useful Escape Route on his Lingfield bow last October. He can pay to follow this season, as can Tranquil Tiger, whose stable is in good form already. John Gosden is double-handed, with Jimmy Fortune on Shavansky who is by Rock Of Gibraltar out of an Alleged mare. In time they can all come good, but for now it is Gold Prospect that is the one to concentrate on.
