Mr Twins is the selection in the opener with Star Fever and Morandi rating as the most obvious dangers. Mr Twins won readily at Wetherby on his recent start and that effort proved that a sound run over 2m4f at this circuit was not a fluke of any description. The trip should represent few worries as the gelding had been campaigned over much further in the past and it is to be hoped that the six-year-old can produce the necessary improvement in a race that lacks much strength in depth. Nicky Richards won this race last year and he is represented by Star Fever. A useful hurdler, he was never competitive at Carlisle on his most recent start and must surely be capable of better. Morandi loves this ground so should not be ruled out despite a poor recent record. Hold The Bid has proved expensive for followers in the past and is watched in the market on this surface. Similar comments apply to Tomillielou, who was rated in the mid 90's over hurdles and is switched to the larger obstacles. Jeringa is in off a lower mark than his hurdles rating so should not be discounted. Cash On Friday has a highly interesting jockey booking. Mr Twins has all the ticks in the right boxes and is accordingly nominated.
