In depth

Verdict

Nodforms Paula is preferred to Masra and Chernik. The booking of Richard Johnson has really caught the eye and having ran a decent third on debut at Wetherby, there does not look to be any more to do in order to land the spoils. Masra does have ability but has looked particularly quirky. There is little doubt that he travels well in his races but he has shown the tendency to cock his jaw when the pressure is applied. Chernik belied odds of 100/1 to finish fifth on introduction at Wetherby. There is every reason to believe that there could be more to come. Ice Image hails from a shrewd yard and any market support is noted. Rash Investor is related to a number of winning hurdlers and as he hails from an unfashionable yard, the bookies could be prepared to offer him a few points bigger than his ability suggests. Solway Storm is a brother to useful hurdler, Solway Gale. Hard pulling, Vagabondo Man looks sure to take them along even if that isn't the complete intention of the rider. Nodforms Paula has the best form to have faced the starter and is likely to be priced accordingly.
