Verdict

ORBISON made all to score here last time in the style of an improver after showing promise in three maiden starts. He takes on his elders for the first time now but Roger Varian looks to have found a decent opportunity for him to supplement recent course gains. He's upped 7lb for the win but the majority of his older rivals look exposed and his three-year-old compatriots loom as larger dangers. Aint Got A Scooby has struggled off higher marks the last twice after an Epsom win and has only been dropped 1lb here, so Emulating and Poor Duke rate the main threats. The pair met earlier this season when Emulating took the verdict but Poor Duke has gone on to win since, is better off with the Hannon inmate now and rates the main danger to the selection.
