Verdict
Tropics is a real course specialist but has a very long absence to overcome. Mr Lupton was conceding 13lb to Dancing Star when beating the Balding filly in a valuable handicap at York last year and he had Intisaab back in fifth when scoring at Newmarket just over two weeks ago. Richard Fahey’s four-year-old has the highest rating of these but soft ground can be a great leveller and it will suit RAUCOUS (NAP), who wasn’t beaten far in a Group 3 on a similar surface at Ascot in October and proved his well-being in a conditions race at Chelmsford last month. Tupi has a penalty to carry and no form in the conditions.
