Verdict

Gordon Elliott tackles this opener mob-handed but the Gigginstown-owned LEOMAR (NAP) looks the pick of his quartet. He has already had eight runs over hurdles but has been mostly campaigned at a higher level than this and has been unlucky on a few occasions. Cook Islands was finishing fourth in the Ballysax Stakes at Leopardstown around this time last year and looks the pick of the JP McManus-owned runners ahead of Monarch - he’ll be winning soon if not today. Share The Honour won a Dundalk maiden on his racecourse debut in February and his trainer will have him ready for this while Tarazani won over 1m6f on the Flat and has joined Henry De Bromhead from Dermot Weld. First Class Ticket was third at Fairyhouse in December but hasn’t been seen since.
