In depth

Verdict

Only 4lb separates this field on official ratings. Hidden Charmer will be popular having followed up his Kilbeggan maiden win with a second in a novice event at the same track. Westland Row was well backed when leaving previous form behind at Downpatrick but there are surely races to be won over hurdles with last year’s Queen’s Vase winner SWORD FIGHTER. He beat subsequent St Leger hero Harbour Law at Royal Ascot that day and this is easiest task to date over timber. Clara Sorrento hasn’t really built on a Clonmel maiden win but is still preferred to Miss Mardan and Indian Court.
