In depth

Verdict

Ben Brody went close a number of times in point-to-points and dead-heated in a Kilbeggan bumper on only his third start under Rules. He should make a hurdler and Paddy Kennedy is one of the more experienced conditionals riding in this. Classic Place has won between the flags and wasn’t beaten far over hurdles at Downpatrick earlier this month when market leader. SHARPS CHOICE was also favourite at Kilbeggan earlier this month and finished third. Though not one of Willie Mullins’ stable stars, a race like this should be within his compass so he gets the vote. Moonman has a very long absence to overcome so is probably best watched but Goose Man is improving and isn’t out of this.
