There's quantity rather than quality here, and a fairly tentative selection is Check Up, marginally preferred to Missie Baileys and Leprachaun's Gold. Check Up is making only his second appearance of the season; last time out he was a narrow second in a similar contest at Lingfield. He might have won but for being slowly away. Most of his races have been much further, but he's shown a liking for this kind of trip, and can have the beating of most if not all his rivals. Missie Baileys is a course and distance winner, albeit a year ago, since when she's only been placed in 3 of her 13 outings. Wearing cheek pieces could see an improvement. Market support for John Llewellyn's only runner on the card, Leprachaun's Gold, could be of interest. Disappointing here recently, Chris Catlin's got the ride tonight. If previous signs of a win materialise, he could be a nice priced winner. These horses are racing at this level for a reason, but we've a marginal preference for Check Up.
