The second division of the nursery looks as tough as the first; narrow preference is for TRANSFIXED although a chance can be given to many. David Evans' filly is well drawn for a prominent run on the rail. She has won over a variety of trips and although her last three runs have not been her best, it means that she has now dropped back to a winnable mark. Deloria is another who has disappointed of late; she is now fitted with the blinkers for the first time. Poppy N' Penny has shaped with promise this season without hitting the mark, a comment that also applies to Greek Key. A recent winner is Masked Dance; Kevin Ryan's gelding romped home in a Ripon seller and with his confidence high he looks of interest, although also high is his handicap mark now. Jessica Hayllar needs to improve on her last run at Goodwood but that was after a break so she may have needed the run and it would not be wise to underestimate her trainer. John Best's horses are in better form now so the handicap debutante Phoenix Rose is not one to take lightly either, however in what looks a tricky race, it is Transfixed who can make all from her high draw.
