Lightning Charlie impressed when scoring at Kempton last time and Amanda Perrett's consistent sprinter is expected to play a leading role despite the concession of weight all round. Seemingly improving with racing, the one concern is that he's yet to oblige on turf, although there have been two or three decent performances on grass. Course and distance winner Anonymous John was beaten in claiming grade latest and PIXELEEN is the preference. The Saunders filly has gone well on all starts this term and recent efforts behind the likes of Growl and Guishan read well with both having performed well since at a higher level. Parkour may need the run but Eve Johnson Houghton is enjoying a good month and her Ice Age looks on a decent mark taking on elders for the first time. Pusey's Secret didn't run too badly here last time and connections reach for a first-time hood in search of further improvement.
