Some potentially interesting sorts return from a break, including the Simcock 4-y-o gelding, Nonios, placed on both all-weather starts and now making his first start on turf. Last seen in early December, he's one to note for the future along with Cap Canaille, a promising third on his Lingfield all-weather debut in mid-November for the Noseda team which has been relatively quiet this season. The market should help to clarify stable expectations, with similar comments attributable to the once-raced Gosden gelding, Vermeulen. However, the performances of MAKZEEM in finishing runner-up the last twice to Autocratic and Frontiersman respectively represent the best form on offer by some way and, with conditions to suit, the Charlton colt should land an overdue success.
