In depth

Verdict

Bold Act made a very pleasing debut and can land this contest from Elizabethan Age and Watchtower. Henry Candy's colt finished runner up to the Luca Cumani trained Pride Of Nation at Nottingham last month, having been well supported in the ring. The third home has since just been beaten and so the form does have a solid look to it. Elizabethan Age has been a model of consistency and ran her race again last time when beaten just two lengths by Obezyana, she looks booked for some more place money. The main danger to the selection though could be the newcomer Watchtower, a superbly bred son of Dubai Millennium. Th Godolphin horses are in great form and if money comes for this one take note. The pick of the others may be Storm Centre, but Bold Act has plenty of scope for improvement and gets the decision.
