        Verdict

        Guadiana looks on the way back to form and is given the nod here ahead of Kirkstall Lane and Alwaysforsale. Tony Carroll's four-year-old did really well to chase home the 97 rated Areyoutalkingtome in a maiden race at Brighton last time. She is obviously flattered by the proximity to that rival but could still be good enough to land a race of this nature. Kirkstall Lane has claims on a recent third in a similar contest at Brighton. Meanwhile Alwaysforsale comes into the argument on the pick of his all-weather form. Victor Buckwell is from a yard still in excellent form and can also be given a squeak in what is a very weak affair, but Guadiana has the best recent form on show and gets the verdict.
