Verdict
The short list for Windsor's opener contains Den's Gift, Kyle and Malaath, with the selection being Kyle. Den's Gift's debut run was promising and it was no disgrace to be beaten from a high draw at Newmarket last time. Kyle is bidding to quickly make amends for a good second to Heroes at Windsor, where he may have blown up after going into that race from a break. Both of the horses mentioned have to be respected. Danehill Kikin and Sandrey are among those to have shown promise, while the Green Desert filly, Malaath, who races for the in-form Godolphin operation, has to be considered on her debut. Overall, though, will select Kyle.
