Richard Hannon has won this for the past two years and MAGIC CITY will be a warm order to make it three. An impressive winner at Newbury on his debut, he was a 1/4 chance on his next start at Ascot but his supporters were in for a rude awakening when he went down to Miss Work Of Art. Sore shins were given as the reason for the shock defeat and he should bounce back. Signifer was six lengths behind him at Newbury but has since landed the odds at Bath, while Bannock has followed a similar path with an easy victory at Redcar following a promising debut at Doncaster. Foxtrot India has plenty of pace in his pedigree and looked a nice sprinting prospect when scoring at Goodwood from a Richard Hannon-trained hotpot while David Evans has won this twice in recent years and relies on the very easy Nottingham winner Ortea.
