Hail The Chief can stamp his class on this field, with His Master's Voice, King Of Argos and Abwaab all expected to run well. Although Hail The Chief has not managed to get his head in front since last April, that was in a decent class 3 contest at Kempton, and since then Richard Hannon's charge has been campaigned at a consistently high level on the all-weather. Well beaten in the Listed Magnolia Stakes at Kempton nine days ago, he will find this a lot easier, and is taken to bounce back. His Master's Voice was beaten in a grade lower affair at Folkestone last time, and has only raced over further than seven furlongs once, but at least lines up in a bit of form, while King Of Argos will be fitter for his recent return from a break at Kempton where he raced wide into the straight, throwing his chance away. Eve Johnson-Houghton has made a terrific start to her training career since taking over from her father, and seems to have the knack of producing them fit and ready, so it would be no surprise if Abwaab gave a bold show. However, there is no substitute for class, and hopefully Hail The Chief will show his today.
