Verdict

News Of the Day is the pick ahead of Sweet World, Dr McFab and Beau Sancy. News Of The Day has picked up two sellers on the all-weather this year, but was narrowly beaten by Dr McFab when the pair met in a handicap at Wolverhampton 11-days ago. The selection is now a pound better off in this claimer, and is taken to gain revenge, whether held up or pushed into the lead early. Sweet World could be a big danger based on his winning form in claiming grade, although he will need things to fall right, and Jamie Spencer, who rode him last time, stays loyal to Dr McFab. Beau Sancy is 13lb worse off with the latter for the near two-lengths that separated them in a class 5 handicap at Wolverhampton in February, and that should be well enough for the latter to turn the tables, but even so we fancy News Of The Day to have his and the rest's measure this afternoon.
