The John Gosden stable saddled a winner at Haydock on Saturday and the Manton handler has claims here with Thrasher. The daughter of Hector Protector confirmed previous promise when landing a Brighton maiden last September and, being related to useful middle distance fillies such as Third Watch and Three Tails, should be well suited by today's trip. The three-year-old can progress further this season and can take advantage of a fair handicap mark. Salim Toto has not been over raced either and won a Thirsk handicap last term (now 5lb higher) but has not been seen since running poorly at Goodwood last September. Elle Royal showed some ability on her final start and could be well treated on her handicap bow while Violent, Starry Mary and Roofer all shaped as though coming to hand last time and should not be far away but Thrasher gets the percentage call.
