In depth

Verdict

Down The Brick was good value for his win at Chepstow last week and has to be respected but Rod Millman's gelding may struggle to follow up under his 6lb penalty and preference is for Pothos Way, with Tafiya rated the pick of the remainder. The selection gained a deserved success when last seen at Kempton in June but can race off the same mark today so looks well treated and he gets the vote to win again. Turner's Touch has been running consistently well of late on the all-weather and would have claims if able to translate that form back to turf, while Stolen Hours has given little real sign of encouragement of late. Walter Swinburn's Constant Cheers looks to be going the right way and has to be respected, although a bigger threat may come from the John Hills-trained Tafiya who showed improved form for being stepped up in trip last time. Pothos Way is on a winning mark though and he is taken to make the most of that.
