Hopefully the betting market will provide a few clues as to the relative ability of the two most interesting newcomers in this race, the Michael Jarvis-trained Miss Jolyon and James Fanshawe's Peas In A Pod, but the safest wager looks to be with the proven form of Superduper. The selection stepped up on the form of her debut effort at Newmarket when a creditable third behind Hip over course and distance earlier this month and she looks the one to beat from a decent draw. Brian Meehan's American Welcome should come on for his debut here last month and has to be considered along with Jonathan Jay's Maximus Aurelius, who has been given a break since his debut at Goodwood in May. Crystal Rock is probably better than he showed first time out but needs to improve and a better bet looks to be Superduper.
