This may not be as competitive as the numbers suggest and it is hard to get away from Sir Michael Stoute's King's Event, who showed plenty of promise when narrowly beaten on his Newmarket debut way back in April, and he is taken to make a winning return here and score at the main expense of Hazytoo and Al Naahadth. The last mentioned is an interesting newcomer from the Godolphin operation and the son of King's Best has to be respected but it has to be of some concern that he has not been seen until now. Stablemate Abydos has similarly yet to see a racecourse but looks the stable second string on the jockey bookings. David Elsworth's Know The Law has shown a consistent level of form and is entitled to be thereabouts but may have to settle for minor honours at best, while Noisy Silence failed to progress from his debut outing when last seen in October and may be best watched on his first start since then. Neville Callaghan's Hazytoo has shown a decent level of form but the pick on form looks to be King's Event and he gets the vote.
