In depth

Verdict

ALIZOOM doesn't set the most demanding of standards but did show much more on his third start when runner-up to Adham on the Lingfield grass. Hopefully he'll be good enough, especially now the Varian team has moved through the gears in the last week or two. High Speed is the most experienced member of the field but still not the easiest to assess as her last three runs have all come on ground with cut and she now faces quick conditions for the first time. She cannot be discounted for Charles Hills who enjoyed such a fine weekend. Storm Melody needs a market check as a very rare juvenile runner for his yard, although newcomers Emerald Bay and This Is For You look more interesting for Haggas and Balding respectively.
