Plenty of newcomers worth a market check in an intriguing maiden. Godolphin's Tam O'Shanter is one and Roger Varian introduces Ex Lover, who is by Monsun out of a Sadler's Wells mare, and Falak, who is a half-brother to two winners. Sir Michael Stoute's pair includes the well-bred Dansili filly Divine Quickstep and the Coolmore-owned Fashion Design, who is by Montjeu, but SEPTEMBER STARS began the year with classic pretensions and, though things haven't quite gone to plan, this looks like a good opportunity for Ralph Beckett's filly to get off the mark. Rex Bell should also be winning soon but handicaps beckon for Pointel and Rubensian.
