      Verdict

Topazes can complete his hat-trick at the main expense of Bury Treasure and Yes Eighteen. The selection only won by a neck at Folkestone last time but he wasn't helped by having to make his challenge around the whole field and probably didn't race on the best of the ground. He can be rated a little better than the bare form as a result and can defy a 6lb rise in the weights. The market should prove useful with several of these having their first runs of the year tonight but Bury Treasure and Yes Eighteen have nothing to prove on that score and are worth a second look. Bury Treasure hails from the in-form Gay Kelleway yard and was progressing well when last seen in the first couple of months of the year. There should be more to come from him on his return to turf and he's one for the short-list. In contrast, Yes Eighteen's yard hasn't really got into its stride yet but this Diktat colt has made steady progress on each outing and should be up to being competitive in this sort of contest. A place may be the best he can hope for tonight though with Topazes expected to take all the beating.
