A high draw has proved critical here this season and High Ridge can take this competitive sprint with Mimic and Sundried Tomato also holding chances from favourable draws. Milton Bradley has come mob-handed to this sprint but High Ridge has got a peach of a draw today and provided that he can lay up with the pace, he is in good enough form to suggest that he can take a hand in the outcome of this contest. Rae Guest has had a bit of a stop-start season to say the least. Mimic has been a consistent performer this term and allowing for a mysteriously disappointing effort on fast ground at Nottingham. Her win at Salisbury in a similar contest puts her in with a good shout and this afternoon's 14 draw could have been a lot worse. Guest also saddles Yomalo. She stayed on from a mile back to grab second at Nottingham but this track wont suit that style of running and she may be forced to take a place at best. Sundried Tomato would ideally want a little more cut in the ground but can handle good going. It is worth noting that he is running from a mark that is significantly lower than at the same stage last season. Dandouce was given a very ordinary ride by a Hong Kong based apprentice at Lingfield last time out. His backers will be relieved to see Jimmy Fortune doing the steering. Full Spate won this last year while Oeuf A La Neige continues in good heart for Greg Cheung. Branston Tiger re-opposing again albeit on quicker going. We go with High Ridge in a head-scratcher of a handicap.
