The lightly-raced Milly Fleur may have been let in lightly off a mark of 72 and can follow up her Salisbury maiden win. She is from a very fast family on her dam's side and Rae Guest is just the trainer to get the best from her. Mazepa has also been lightly campaigned but showed very good promise as a juvenile and should strip fitter for his seasonal return. Budelli carries a penalty for a good Ripon win and comes here in good heart. Formerly with Barry Hills, the best of Trace Clip's form puts him in the picture. Greenslades has also been lightly campaigned and, twice a winner as a juvenile, he should come for his seasonal return too. Add into the mix Milton Bradley's course and distance winners Full Spate and Currency, John Dunlop's Injaaz, for whom Kieren Fallon has been booked, recent course and distance winner Miss George, Willie Muir's dual June winner, Merlin's Dancer, and the consistent Nivernais, then you get an idea that this race is intriguing and competitive. And the list of horses mentioned is far from all-inclusive. If putting up a tip, though, Milly Fleur is the recommendation.
