in touch, effort to challenge on wide outside over 2f out, soon edged right and no extra approaching final furlong
outpaced in rear, ran on inside final furlong, never going pace to reach leaders
chased leader, ridden and every chance over 2f out, weakened over 1f out
chased leaders, ridden to lead approaching final fulrong, ran on well
in touch on outside, ridden halfway, weakened inside final 2f
held up in rear, ridden over 2f out, soon struggling
pulled hard, prominent, ridden and still chance over 2f out, weakened over 1f out
raced against near side rail, soon led, ridden 2f out, headed approaching final fulrong, kept on same pace
An interesting nursery in which Self Belief could provide the answer. The cheaply-bought daughter of Easycall has shown promise in three starts, including here over five furlongs last time in a race that has produced winners, and might show further improvement over this longer trip. It's a race though where we'll get more of a handle on the form after the race as many have shown bits of form and are possibly open to improvement. Of these, Shielaligh won well over course and distance on her debut but, beaten since, she is probably opposable off topweight. Hilites is holding her form well and is likely to be involved at the business end. Mick Channon runs Truly Wonderful, and Richard Hannon runs Bee Minor and Scarlet Empress, who each have claims. As we say, it's tricky, but maybe Self Belief can find the necessary improvement to land her first win.
