Verdict
An intriguing juvenile conditions stakes from which Ginobili is given the nod. Richard Hannon's colt overcame numerous juvenile behaviours on debut, most notable missing the break and being forced to challenge wide but once the penny dropped he quickened very impressively. How good the maiden was is open to question, but the style in which he picked up was taking and it is on that basis that he is put forward. The additional furlong should suit him also. Baycat proved himself a very precocious juvenile, winning his first two starts before disappointing in the Norfolk at Royal Ascot where the ground was too fast. With a penalty to carry for his class 3 success, he has something to prove now but excuses can be offered for his demise in the Vintage Stakes at Goodwood where he didn't stay or act once again on the quicker surface. Rileyskeepingfaith is another Goodwood disappointment on the retrieve. Expect him to be there or thereabouts as he looked a juvenile who could go places when winning at Newmarket on his second start. Zezao has more to contend with here that the contest in which he slammed his rivals at Bath in May while David Simcock's Desert Phantom won first time out in very deep Haydock ground although he should be more suited by this livelier ground. Without doubt the most interesting race on the card and Ginobili is the selection.
