Rachel is sure to be popular here but Esplanade might have her measure and gets the vote. The pair are closely-matched on a line through a filly called Peace, Rachel coming out marginally the better. However, Esplanade might just have needed her last run after a break and, holding a Yorkshire Oaks entry, should be better than she has so far shown. The form of Rachel's third to Beneventa at Kempton has worked out really well, with the winner, runner-up and fourth all having won since, so she will not make it easy for the selection. Odabella made a promising start to her racing career but, despite always being placed, she can't quite get her head in front. Pantita, third in a fair event over course and distance last time, is entitled to go well also, but Sir Michael Stoute's Esplanade gets the vote.
