Verdict

AMLAD has been progressing with every run and followed up his Beverley maiden success by making all over slightly further than this at Newmarket. A 6lb rise doesn't look harsh and a hat-trick beckons. Knight Destroyer has gone up 9lb for landing a lower-class handicap at Chepstow but did it so convincingly he won't go down without a battle. Wasatch Range stayed on strongly to land a maiden over 1m2f here in April and there must have been something amiss when he finished tailed off on soft ground at Newbury. His stable also run Azam, another who was well beaten in that same event while Mark Johnston runs Berengaria, who has been racing in better company and has to be respected. Harebell completes the line-up and she hasn't been beaten far in two handicaps since her Nottingham maiden victory.
