Verdict

A tricky opener with several dropping down in class including James Watt. The top weight has been competing at Newmarket but won over track and trip last year while Fen Breeze attempts the minimum trip for the first time having failed to figure in Listed company at Chester. Angel Alexander also failed to threaten at Chester on her latest outing while UNCLE JERRY could only manage fourth in a higher grade handicap over course and distance last time. But an apprentice takes 7lb off his back today and that could be enough to see Richard Hughes’ charge come out best. Lille remains unexposed and may prove best of the remainder.
