Ancien Regime was beaten by rivals rated in the high 80s in a conditions race at Doncaster last time so looks harshly treated first time in a nursery off a mark of 93 and preference is for Thunder Bay, with Royal Intruder rated the pick of the remainder. The selection has shown a consistent level of form so far, including in nurseries, remains well treated and has ground conditions to suit. John Gosden's Master Chef may struggle to give weight away all round and of more interest may be Ed McMahon's Mesmerize Me, who has been highly tried since winning his Bath maiden. Ralph Beckett's Concertmaster has been given a chance by the handicapper and makes more appeal than Little Knickers, who has disappointed in her last two starts. Royal Intruder ran creditably on his debut in this grade at Sandown last time and should be thereabouts again but the vote goes to the consistent Thunder Bay, who is taken to win his fourth race.
