City Stable showed plenty of promise on his Yarmouth debut over seven furlongs and should improve for the extra furlong today but Sir Michael Stoute's colt may have to settle for minor honours again with preference for Rochefort, who gets the vote ahead of Hit The Roof. The last mentioned looks the pick of Richard Hannon's two runners ahead of Hadron Collider and has the benefit of experience over most of his rivals but may lack the class to land this. Mark Johnston's youngsters normally improve with racing so his representative Clovis is probably best watched, while John Dunlop's Looter improved from first start to second but needs to improve again to trouble the judge. Brian Meehan's Oxbridge has shown ability and has place claims at least but preference is for Rochefort. John Gosden's colt has shown a decent level of form and a reproduction of that should suffice.
